Mrs. Vollrath couldn’t be happier about beginning her 3rd year at Minneapolis Academy!

At the Academy she is able to share her appreciation of literature with the exceptional, enthusiastic and promising young minds of tomorrow.

Born and raised in Chaska, Minnesota, Mrs. Vollrath decided to attend nearby Minnesota State University - Mankato, where she graduated in December 2008. There she was awarded a Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Middle School Communication and Language Arts.

Mrs. Vollrath is extremely proud of her instruction from MSU, a university that holds its education students to the highest of standards, and believes strongly in the fundamentals of reading and the possibilities that literacy unlocks.

While she is not teaching, Mrs. Vollrath spends time with her husband Kyle and their dog, Bob.

 

 

Philosophy

The Academy's philosophy is not simply that all children can learn, but more importantly that all children will learn. There are no shortcuts to academic success and no excuses for failing to achieve it. Together, students, parents, and teachers will create a culture of achievement and success.

The Academy prepares its graduates to live thoughtful and purposeful lives equipped with the tools to engage successfully in their own "pursuit of happiness," thereby contributing greatly to the good of their communities and their families.
