Mr. Corey OKeefe joined Minneapolis Academy as a physical education teacher in the fall of 2007.  Prior to that, he worked as an elementary physical education teacher in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  In addition to teaching, Mr. OKeefe has a wealth of experience working with children of all ages. This includes time spent as a youth coordinator for Youth Employment Services and three years of coaching high school wrestling.  Corey OKeefe attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Superior where he received a bachelors degree in physical education.
 
Before becoming a teacher, Mr. OKeefe served six years in the U.S. Army NG as a sergeant in a combat engineer battalion.  During that time, he spent one year conducting security and reconnaissance missions in Iraq from 2003-2004.
 
Outside of school, Mr. OKeefe enjoys spending time with his wife and children.  He is also an avid weight lifter and runner.  Free time for Mr. OKeefe is spent either enjoying the outdoors or reading.
