Jill Livdahl - English
Email: Jill Livdahl
Mrs. Jill Livdahl brings to Minneapolis Academy years of teaching experience with both children and adults. She says, "teaching is the only profession for me". She enjoys the interaction with her students, helping them become readers, writers and young women and men of tomorrow.
Mrs. Livdahl grew up in North Dakota, attended Concordia College and Moorhead State University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in English Education. Her first teaching experience was in Park Rapids, MN.
Deciding to expand their horizons, Mrs. Livdahl and her husband made their way to Chicago, IL., where she worked as a corporate trainer teaching adults computer software programs. Even though the experience was challenging and educational, she missed working with young people and teaching Language Arts. Mrs. Livdahl and her family headed back home to Minnesota where she accepted a position with a private school in Minneapolis teaching Language Arts and Media, before joining the Academy in 2007. She was happy to be back with her young students.
When not teaching, Mrs. Livdahl enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, reading, running, gardening, and cooking.
