Email: Chad Inda

Chad Inda's first three years of teaching were working with Minneapolis Public Schools. He spent the first half a year as a contracted Gifted & Talented teacher at Jefferson Community School located in the heart of Uptown. From there he went on to spend the next two and a half years teaching Mathematics at Olson Middle School located in north Minneapolis. In the pursuit of a district that was more in alignment with his views on education, Mr. Inda found Minneapolis Academy. Mr. Inda has been the math teacher at Minneapolis Academy since 2005.

Mr. Inda is a native of Madison, Wisconsin. He came to the Twin Cities to attend the University of Minnesota, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in education. He then went on to begin work on his Master's degree and is continuing his education toward attainment of this degree. While attending the university, Mr. Inda participated in a study abroad program, which took him to Venezuela, where he lived for 5 months. In addition to teaching, Mr. Inda has worked with youth in other capacities.

He has coached baseball, volleyball, basketball, flag football, and soccer. He has been an adult and youth tennis instructor. He has also worked as a day camp counselor for the Minneapolis Parks Department. In his personal life Mr. Inda enjoys many different types of athletics; he is an avid participant in basketball, volleyball, soccer, and Frisbee golf. He can spend hours riding his mountain bike in the city or in the middle of nowhere. He also enjoys camping, dancing, traveling, comedy, and eating.

In the summer of 2008, Mr. Inda was blessed with the birth of his first child, a baby boy.  The activities he has so enthusiastically enjoyed have taken a back seat to the fathering of his child.  He spends much less time with the aforementioned activities and much more time reading, singing, and changing diapers.

"My belief in the power of education is the reason why I am what I am today, beyond being a teacher. I am thankful that my parents instilled this value in me and hope that I can pass it on to all those I am allowed the opportunity to teach, influence, and share my life with."
