Mrs. Jodi Nolte hails from the great state of North Dakota where she has endured wind chill temperatures close to 80 degrees below zero, many blizzards and a MAJOR flood. Jodi graduated from the University of North Dakota (Grand Forks) with a Bachelors of Arts degree in psychology, and Minnesota State University (Moorhead) with a Bachelors of Science Degree in elementary and middle school education. Jodi is currently working on her Masters Degree in Specific Learning Disabilities at the University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
After graduating from UND, Jodi worked as a psychometrist in Fargo, North Dakota. Jodi worked with both a Neuropsychologist and a Child Psychologist in both a hospital and clinical setting. While working in neuropsychology, Jodi tested many patients for Alzheimer's, dementia, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and many other neurological difficulties. When working in child psychology Jodi tested many children for learning disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), autism, giftedness and much more.
Jodi moved to Minneapolis where she began her teaching career and started to truly develop her philosophy of student learning.
During her time away from the Minneapolis Academy, Jodi enjoys spending time with her husband, Al, son, Isaac and their dog, Milo. She also spends many weekends up north at the lake boating and laughing with her family. Jodi enjoys reading, golfing and swimming.
