Ms. Therese Privette joined the Minneapolis Academy staff as a fifth grade teacher in the fall of 2005. She previously worked as a Lead Teacher at Edison Charter School in Duluth, Minnesota. Her eight years of teaching experience include instruction in grades three, four and five, as well as six years as Lead Teacher and Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator. She has also presented at several professional conferences around the U.S. on the topics of school climate, student achievement, and assessment.

Ms. Therese Privette currently serves as Lead Teacher at Minneapolis Academy assisting Director Cooper with various administrative duties as well as teacher guidance and curriculum support and development.

Ms. Privette is a graduate of the University of Minnesota - Duluth, with a degree in Elementary Education, along with graduate studies in Liberal Education and Educational Technology.

Outside of school, Ms. Privette enjoys spending time with her son Matthew and daughter Jaime. In her free time, Ms. Privette is an avid reader, and also enjoys playing golf, tennis, and inline skating.
